Logista Pharma and Neovii Sign Strategic Agreement for the Distribution of Grafalon® in Spain, a Specialized Medicine for Transplant Patients
- Logista Pharma will manage the entire supply chain for Grafalon®, from procurement and storage to hospital distribution and invoicing.
- This high-value product, both economically and therapeutically, requires strict storage conditions between 2°C and 8°C, as well as the highest levels of traceability, safety, and quality.
- The operation is supported by Nacex Pharma’s specialized transport network, ensuring cold chain integrity and a high capacity to respond to urgent demand.
Logista Pharma, the Logista company specializing in pharmaceutical distribution and comprehensive healthcare services, has entered into a collaboration agreement with Neovii, a biopharmaceutical company specializing in immunosuppressive therapies for organ transplantation, hematology, and oncology, to distribute Grafalon® in Spain.
Grafalon® is a specialized medicine used in combination with other immunosuppressive therapies for the prevention and treatment of acute rejection following solid organ transplantation, as well as for the prevention of graft-versus-host disease following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Grafalon® is a specialized hospital medicine used in transplant patients. With more than four decades of clinical use and an international presence, it represents a well-established treatment option for medical teams involved in transplant patient care.
Under the terms of this agreement, Logista Pharma will assume full responsibility for managing the medicine’s supply chain in Spain through a 360° service model that includes product procurement, specialized storage, order preparation, hospital distribution, and invoicing to healthcare institutions.
The operation has been specifically designed to ensure maximum availability of the medicine in hospitals. Given the critical nature of the treatment, the service requires rapid response capabilities, urgent deliveries, maximum operational reliability, and complete traceability throughout every stage of the logistics chain.
In addition, Grafalon® requires particularly stringent storage conditions and must be maintained within a controlled temperature range of 2°C to 8°C throughout the entire logistics process. To meet these requirements, Logista Pharma provides Neovii with access to its specialized pharmaceutical facilities and certified storage, preparation, and distribution processes, specifically designed for products with high economic and therapeutic value.
Deliveries will be carried out through Nacex, Logista’s express courier network, using passive cold-chain solutions specifically designed to ensure the medicine’s thermal stability throughout transportation. The service also incorporates advanced monitoring and traceability systems that guarantee full control of each shipment, from the warehouse to the destination hospital.
"The distribution of Grafalon® is a clear example of the highly specialized operations in which Logista Pharma provides distinctive added value. This is a critical medicine for patients, with demanding requirements in terms of control, traceability, and responsiveness. This agreement reinforces our position as a leading strategic partner for pharmaceutical companies marketing highly complex therapies," said Ignacio Sánchez Caballero, General Manager of Logista Pharma Iberia.
Frederic Prince, Chief Executive Officer of Neovii, stated: "This agreement reflects our commitment to ensuring that patients in Spain have reliable and uninterrupted access to Grafalon®. Working with a specialized partner such as Logista Pharma enables us to safeguard the quality, traceability, and continuity of supply upon which transplant centres and their patients depend."
This agreement strengthens Logista Pharma’s presence in the hospital sector and reinforces its ability to manage highly complex biological and immunological medicines, helping ensure that critical treatments reach patients with the highest guarantees of quality, safety, and availability.
