Logista, Europe's leading logistics operator, has announced the acquisition of Gramma Farmaceutici, a company specialized in logistics services for the pharmaceutical industry in Italy. This strategic acquisition marks an important milestone in Logista's expansion in Italy and further strengthens its position as a leader in pharmaceutical distribution.
Founded in 1982, Gramma Farmaceutici has excelled in providing high value-added logistics services for pharmaceutical manufacturers in Italy. The company ensures efficient distribution to wholesalers, hospitals and pharmacies throughout the country. In addition, Gramma Farmaceutici has all the necessary licenses to carry out pharmaceutical distribution and logistics operations in Italy, demonstrating its commitment to excellence and compliance with the highest quality standards.
Gramma Farmaceutici, which had a turnover of €8.5M in 2022, has a modern facility of approximately 25,000 sqm, including a 15,000 sqm main warehouse. The company offers a variety of services tailored to the needs and requirements of customers nationwide, including integrated logistics, order picking and warehousing, logistics outsourcing (3PL) and cold storage of vaccines.
With this strategic acquisition, Logista takes a significant step towards expanding its presence in the Italian pharmaceutical market. Gramma Farmaceutici becomes the first milestone in the launch of Logista's pharmaceutical operations in Italy, enabling the company to offer its industry-leading distribution services to Italian customers. This acquisition, and the investment plan, will consolidate Logista's position as a trusted logistics partner in the Italian market and reaffirms its commitment to providing efficient and tailored solutions for the pharmaceutical supply chain.
