Committed to the on-going training of all healthcare system stakeholders involved in the fulfilment of GDPs

Prominent leaders of the Technical-Pharmaceutical team at Logista Pharma have recently collaborated as teachers on the Transport Validation for Pharmaceutical Products training course organised by the Health Sciences Institute of the Castilla-La Mancha Regional Ministry of Health.

The course was aimed at technical staff of the Directorate General for Planning, Management and Inspection, responsible for the verification of compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) by entities involved in the distribution of pharmaceutical products for human use.

The main training areas were focused on:

  • General aspects of the implementation of GDP in the transport of pharmaceutical products by transport agencies and own transportation (sites, vehicles, containers, labelling and other shipping documents, and traceability).
  • Risk analysis in last-mile land transport (passive and active cold chain transport).
  • Classification of exchange platforms and validation of passive transport (platform requirements, vehicle requirements and validation of the cold chain in the transport of pharmaceutical products: protocol, methodology development, truck mapping, packaging validation, and route validation).
  • Temperature monitoring in active transport (classification of boxes, temperature mapping, calibration of temperature probes, maintenance of compressors and continuous temperature recording).
  • Products with special requirements.
  • Assessment and monitoring of transport service providers, contracts and technical agreements.
